35 years old at my first Workshop in Louisville, Kentucky. 2 Aquascapes completed & raffled to two lucky winners
I’m a garden designer with a lifelong connection to nature and a deep appreciation for spaces that feel grounded, thoughtful, and alive. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised by my grandparents, surrounded by traditions and values from a slower, sweeter time. Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of gardening with my grandmother—often in the rain, pulling on ponchos because she believed it was the perfect time to plant. Those early experiences shaped how I understand the natural world: patient, intuitive, and deeply rewarding.
Growing up largely unplugged, my days were spent outdoors—observing, exploring, and learning directly from nature. That upbringing continues to influence my work today. I believe nature sets the tone of a space. Without it, environments can feel flat or disconnected; with it, they become calm, inviting, and full of life. Even a small, intentional introduction of greenery can transform how a space feels and how people interact with it.
I design planted environments for both residential and commercial spaces, always working with nature rather than against it. My approach is rooted in understanding the ecosystem, the architecture, and the people who will live or work within the space. My experience spans a wide range of living systems, including flower and vegetable gardens, living walls, and immersive planted environments—always with plants as the primary medium.
Whether designing a private garden, enhancing a workplace, or creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors, my goal is to create spaces that feel natural, intentional, and enduring. Each project is tailored to its setting and purpose, with a focus on improving daily life through a deeper connection to the natural world.
